tuesdays with pixie

While looking through photo files on my computer the other night I found the above photo of Pixie and Rex playing outside. When I first saw it, I thought it was from Pixie’s first day at The Compound as a foster dog, but I was wrong. It’s from April 2010, which is after the Christmas when I adopted her and almost a year after she came to us. Regardless, the photo is out of focus and crappy from a technical standpoint, but I still love it. It’s nice to remember when Rex and Pixie would play together. They look so happy. Makes today more tolerable for me, so I thought I’d share.

I really like it. It really gives the feeling of movement. Besides, plenty of great photos are out of focus. There a lot of great examples if you search the web for “out of focus photography”.

It was a time of no grass but great dog antics. They were great friends, and he was a good alpha/big brother to her and Penny, too.

I think it’s a wonderful photo – full of energy, fun and play.
